DO I NEED A PASSWORD?

Not always. If you want to use the Ski Swap, you don’t need a password. Everything else, yes.

If you are the person in your club responsible for updating the CMSC web site with your club information, you need a password. NOTE: Some clubs may have more than one person responsible for updating. If your club is one of these, please get in touch with the CMSC web master for additional passwords.

All CMSC board members need passwords.

WHAT DOES MY PASSWORD ALLOW ME TO DO?

We have password groups. Each password group has a different level of access. The most common groups are:

Clubs: A club password will allow you to add, change and delete information for only your club. This information includes the Club Information (meeting place, etc), Club Board Information (president, VP, etc.), Trip Information, Event and Activity Information, Club Announcements and use of the Club Membership System.

CMSC Regional VP’s: This password will allow the VP to add, change and delete all the club information for only the clubs they assigned. They can also access their own personal information on the CMSC Board in order to keep their contact information up to date.

All other passwords: This will allow you to add, change and delete your personal information along with data for positions you preside over in your duties as a CMSC Board Member. See the CMSC Web Master for specifics on your accessibility.

GETTING TO THE MAINTENANCE PAGE

On CMSC’s home page (www.skicmsc.com), just a couple inches from the top of the page you will see a grey bar. Put your mouse on CMSC (the 4th option from the left) and a menu will drop down.

WHEN AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS ANYWAY?

September 1st and March 1st are the deadlines for updating anything you want to appear in the Ski Show and the Ski Seminar editions of the Midwest Skier Magazine.

Clubs should attempt to keep their club and officer and trip information up to date at all times. As the information is displayed “real time” on the CMSC web site, people accessing the web site can locate clubs they wish to visit or clubs going to destinations they may wish go. The possibility of increasing your membership is only as good as the data displayed on the web page!

CMSC Board members must update their personal information as soon as it changes.

WHO DO I GO TO IF I DO NOT HAVE WEB ACCESS?

If you are a club, contact your CMSC Regional VP.

If you are a CMSC Board Member, contact your VP.

WHO DO I GO TO IF I REALLY CAN’T MAKE THIS WORK?

Contact the CMSC Web Master, Robb Scholl at
