According to WIKIPEDIA: Sun Peaks Resort is an alpine ski resort located in Sun Peaks, British Columbia, Canada. The summit of the ski area is at an elevation of 6,824 ft, with an 2,891 vertical ft from the base to peak. Sun Peaks Resort has 4,270 acres of skiable terrain, and receives an average of 220 inches of snow per year. The resort has 12 lifts, 135 runs, including 16 gladed areas, 2 alpine bowls and 40 km of cross country trails - something for everyone 10% novice, 58% intermediate, & 32% expert. Sun Peaks area averages over 2000 hours of sun a year (no wonder it’s called Sun Peaks). The ski area comprises three mountains: Tod Mountain, Sundance Mountain, and Mt. Morrisey. Ski with Olympic champion Nancy Greene.
The village has plenty to do for skiers and non-skiers with 20 dining and après locations, 19 shops, dog sledding, cat trax groomer rides, cross country skiing spas, fat tire biking, first tracks w/breakfast, mountain top fondue meal with evening decent on skis, horse drawn sleigh rides, outdoor ice skating, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, tube park, segway tours.
