Comments:
Lake Tahoe has some of the best skiing anywhere - both Nordic and downhill! The club’s flights will be into Reno where we will travel in vans to Truckee for our stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel offers a hot breakfast to get us started. The area offers several excellent areas for cross country skiing. Of course there is Royal Gorge, the largest system in North America, but there are other excellent locations such as Tahoe Donner and North Star. North Star also provides fine downhill opportunities and is only minutes away from the hotel by shuttle. The restaurants and shops in downtown Truckee are nearby. Trail passes and lift tickets are your own expense.
