Bon-appetite!! Forty-seven excited people from 16 clubs checked into the 4-star Hotel Brigitte.
This hotel is a hard act to follow for future trips. A beautiful hotel with incredible meals.
They welcomed us with Prosecco, a sparkling Italian wine, and told us about the hotel, town and
ski area.
The skiers had a short walk to lifts where the mountain opened to more than just Ischgl. The
Silveretta Ski Pass option is valid at 74 facilities in Ischgl, Samnaun, Galtur, Kappl and See.
The runs were all open and fully covered, though more fresh snow would have made it even better.
Skiing in Samnaun took us into Switzerland where the snow was the best and where we spent most
of our time. Non-skiers/riders were also able to visit Samnaun using a pedestrian pass on the
lift system. Pre-dinner cocktail parties at the hotel bar helped everyone meet people they
didn’t already know. Dinners in the hotel were something to look forward to, how could the
kitchen possibly do better than the previous night. And yet they raised the bar night after
night.
Saturday morning, we bussed to Zurich and then flew to Prague. We stayed at the 4-star Hotel
Ametyst Prague located in the city center from where we could catch a bus or underground train
to visit the city. We started the visit to Prague with a 4-hour tour to give everyone an
overview of the city. Then groups split off and visited museums, castles, restaurants, city
squares and joined more tours. This is the first year we lengthened the extension from 3 to 4
days, and yet there is so much to do in Prague that people wished they could stay longer.
