The CMSC downhill racing program is designed to provide a fun, competitive environment for skiers of all ages and skill levels.
Whether you're a seasoned racer or new to the sport, our program offers opportunities to develop your skills, compete against others, and enjoy the thrill of alpine racing.
All races are held in the Midwest, typically at Wilmot, Ski Brule, Sunburst, Devil’s Head and Granite Peak.

Run by an all volunteer, dedicated committee, the CMSC downhill racing program strives to accommodate a wide variety of skiers and ability levels.
The racing program has it's own website, where you can find more information about the program, the schedule, and how to get involved:

The series is 14 races, spread out over three months, and provides skiing and social opportunities for all.
Giant slalom (GS) races call for wider turns and allow racers to complete the course at higher speeds – these are perfect for newcomers!
Slalom races require quick, short radius turns and test technical ski skills. We race in ability classes so that people compete with
other skiers of similar ability - awards are given after each race to the top 3 finishers in each class.

Skiers and boarders are welcome. Slalom is open to skiers only, but GS is open to both skiers and boarders.
Kids are allowed to participate in GS races too. And if you are new to CMSC Racing, your first race entry is free!

Make sure to get your gear at Viking Ski Shop, our generous title sponsor.
