It is time to go to Heavenly Mountain Resort. It has been ten years since we last skied Heavenly.
We are staying at the Margaritaville Resort. Margaritaville is about a 2 block walk to Heavenly’s
Gondola. Heavenly is an Epic Pass property. As a result, you will have to buy an Epic Pass. A link
and suggested Pass options are in another article in the SMUBIKS. We will have 2 Queen
Bedrooms. Free Wi-Fi is included. There is a heated indoor pool & hot tub to relax in after a hard
day of skiing. Room amenities include a mini-fridge, coffee maker and a hairdryer. There are 3
restaurants and a Bar/Lounge for meals and Apres-ski libations. There are many restaurants within
walking distance of Margaritaville, both in Stateline NV and South Lake Tahoe CA. Also, additional
restaurants are a short taxi ride away. Also, if you so desire, there are several casinos to choose
from to do some gambling.
Heavenly is 20% beginner, 45% intermediate & 35% advanced. There are 97 trails in the 4,800 acres
of skiing terrain with a Vertical Drop of 3,500 ft. Base elevation is 6,540 ft and the summit elevation is
10,067 ft. There are a total of 30 lifts including 1 high speed gondola, 1 aerial tram, 2 high speed 6-
pack lifts, 7 high speed quads, 1 fixed grip quad, 6 triples, 2 doubles, 6 surface and 4 magic carpets.
