      British Columbia
      Whistler Blackcomb is the site of the 2010 Winter Olympic
      Games in Vancouver. Whistler and Blackcomb form the
      largest single ski area in North America at 8,171 acres.
      The two mountains also boast the continent’s highest verti-
      cal drops at over 5,000 feet. Currently, the mountains can
      only be traversed from their bases. However, construction
      is under way to connect the mountains at their mid-levels.
      When completed, the lift will total a length of 2.7 miles and
      have the longest unsupported span for a lift of its kind in
