American Blind Skiing Foundation
Established in 1971, the American Blind Skiing
Foundation enables blind and visually impaired
individuals to downhill ski and snowboard in a safe
and friendly environment. Our experienced guides
and certified instructors are prepared to teach those
new to the sport as well as enhance the skills, or
simply guide those already familiar with it. As a
guide, the reward of enabling someone to engage
in a sport you are passionate about is amazing. For
those who thought they would never ski again or
those who have always wanted to try, it is a thrilling
achievement. (absf.org) Champaign Ski and Adventure Club
Battle Creek Ski Club
Battle Creek Ski Club is an all-year activity club
with emphasis on skiing and boarding. We have
members of all age ranges and everyone is welcome.
To attend a ski trip you must be an active member
with dues paid. Summer activities are open to
anyone. We celebrate the beginning of the season
with an Uprising Party which always has a theme.
This year’s theme is “Crazy Olympics.” We have a
Christmas party, this year with a comedian coming
to entertain. We close the ski season with a
downrising party. After that, summer activities begin.
